Visitors to the country tend to flock to Cairo in droves, due to the city's proximity to neighbouring Giza – site of the last of the ancient wonders, Giza Pyramid. Cairo also benefits from some of the most exclusive suburbs and holiday properties in Egypt – the newest of which are located in the Eastern Sheraton Heliopolis District.

At the Southern-most point of the Sinai peninsula lies the popular beach resort of Sharm El-Sheikh, comparatively smaller than bustling Cairo, yet equally as colourful in character and heritage. With crystal clear waters and relatively placid tides, the underwater scenery off the coast of Sharm El-Sheikh is as colourful as the vistas from the cliff-top South of the town.
